Little Old Town

Under the shadow of neon shimmering big cities, we have lived in a small town so far wishing we had never been. Wandering and playing in tight sunken streets and fighting with siblings for a Tv remote I have grown up. I say I don't love living here that much, deep down I know  I said my words right here, walked for the first time right here. I was here forever, now I am all recognized, you know my secrets, I know yours. This is what I envy from people who get a chance to move to another place, nobody knows you, you have a neat start, life gives a second chance to you and it doesn't happen every day. From the hurried birth to unexpected death, life only gives us a brief moment to shine. Still, I know nature has a subtle cunning way to find our imperfections. Our past follows us every day, everywhere reminding us of our stories. This town has a story too, it has faces that sparkle, and some faces that frown. Behind those tons of stories, I don't know. I see new faces everywhere, how can I not be scared then, few might be monsters, few might be angels. But this town is unique, I still find that home in here, a home i never dreamt of having. It isn't set up on hills or castles, it is not so dreamy, But this carries the very sand I lived in. It carries a million memories I made. It might be ventures of my life takes me apart from here soon, but when I will be on the corner of world or miles away. I will try to look back into the simple face of mine. The wandering in these tight streets or fights at home lights up who told me who I am. The story of my town will be living in me, not so dreamy, not set up in hills or castles, but I will still carry with me this little old town.
