MAN TO BE 


The very definition the word MAN means an adult male, and the very philosophical meaning of it is being a responsible adult. We all have been gravely mistaken about the very fact of being a MAN. Now it has come to
mean a man who is emotionless, kind of a big person who apparently has no respect and is filled with ego. Most of us are taught to be the same. They say, "Why are you weeping? what are you a girl?", " You want to wear pink!", "You like cooking?", "You don't like sports", " You like hearing This or that song! " Our lives would have been passed through these phrases, If you want to be Man you have to be dominant, you cannot express your emotions, you collect your tears in a jar which you aren't allowed to peep into 'cause men don't cry. You have been generalized into colors, you
represent black and women pink. Materials define your masculinity, not you. You are made of an opaque box and you aren't allowed to let others see how much mess is inside that same box. Your muscular hands, which are a must, by the way, squeeze all your emotions and all you want to feel back from the very vein it came from. You can do whatever you want to, you can be whatever you want to yet you cannot be yourself.

 Let me ask you all, isn't it exhausting? I don't say that men suffer more than women or anything, it's just how everyone has their stuff to deal! But breathing as a M A N you are expected to stay firm, stay hard which justifies the masculine nature, but isn't it monstrous of us to push back what we really wanna feel. I don’t ask freedom from this system of yours, I ask for a whole change of mentality around the subject, all of this is just toxic masculinity. I guess it's a long walk we all have to go down, so why not stop jumping into conclusions so early? Why don't we celebrate our masculinity, however and whatever it is? I don't want any permissions though, but why don't let me be the M A N  i want to be?
