Drama, Drinks, Death ☠
“Do my homework or you’ll see what happens next to you, nerdy! ”, said Henry to Jack standing next to him. Henry was one of a kind, especially the kind you’ll see in every school bullying those who can’t take a stand for themselves or those who even could, he was known to crack their legs so they won’t take any further stands for themselves. He knew how to get away with all this stuff, he knew that fear was the key and so did his father. He was a single child of a single parent. His father was a retired grey-haired policeman who played by his rules. His father was mostly tough on him because he wanted him to grow up as a gentleman like him - ethical and civil. Having none of those traits, he got criticized a lot by his father. Things in their life took a turn after Henry’s prom party.
There was something different about that day, maybe it was the first whisper of winter in the aura or maybe it was just gushing with love all around cause it was prom night. Henry had prepared himself for the night, he acted all innocent in front of his dad for weeks and got no complaints from his school in between those days so that he could finally go to the prom in his father's dashing car which would not only enhance his status but also make his friends pretty envious.
Well suited and nervously hesitating, he asked his father,
"Hey Dad, I was thinking of taking your car tonight.May I?" His father was confused a bit, but on analysing his current behaviour, he was persuaded to give him the keys of his precious car. "Sometimes, I can still feel it, ", said Henry's father. "Your mother's last gift to me, this car is very precious to me. We used to go on long drives and vacations in this very car, I can still feel your mom's presence here sometimes. I know you are a good boy so drive it carefully Henn. " Henry's plan to be a good guy for the few weeks worked and he was allowed to take his father's special car.
Thrilled and overwhelmed, Henry drove it very carefully for a few miles. No sooner had he gone out of his vicinity, he started coming back to his original colours, he started racing it like a sports car. When he came to the party, his friends were cheering for their mate on seeing him in that fancy car. Henry thought he was cooler than ever! Him being in that very charm of the party started soaking up in the so-called "Magic Elixir " by every lousy teenager. "What worse can happen to me, hit me again, I am fine," said Henry to his pals.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF TEMPTATION, IT HAS EVEN RUINED THE PUREST OF THE PRIESTS AND DARKEST OF THE DEMONS.
Drunk and befuddled, Henry went back in his car to go home after the party. Everything was impeccable according to him, in reality, it wasn't. Intoxicated Henry was driving rash and he hit more number of poles and trash boxes than there were stars in the sky that night. His father's car was now wrecked, its engine was now making noises and it no more looked like a car. He rang his house's bell and his father came to open the door. As soon as he saw him & his car he flared into flames. He knew Henry was drunk he took him inside and started screaming at him. All the neighbours could have heard him. He was being very harsh on him because the son he had high expectations from was drunk and crashed the most loved gift from his dead wife.
Henry's father slapped him, enraged Henry went swearing upstairs into his room angry and blood-red. He laid down on his bed. After a second he started hearing sounds of his father again. Henry was vulnerable, he was enraged. This was when he took a knife and went downstairs. He had enough to put up with, he thought he had suffered enough.
Henry went straight to his father stabbed his father and he thought he ended all the problems of his life. He stood there motionless, this was when he noticed he killed his own father, the only family he had, the one who took care of him since his mother passed away. He stood there and took steps back, lay against the wall and slipped down to the bottom regretting his actions and all his decisions. His mind revinded the whirlpool of all his memories with his father. This saga of regret moved him. A tear droplet flowed down his face, he closed his eyes and opened it again.
He realized he was lying on his bed. "Was I hallucinating or did I really kill my own father?" Henry said. He hurried downstairs to see what he had done and his head was paining heavily like he had been hammered by some stone or something. He went down and saw his father stationary on the couch. He went and saw his father was still alive, it was his dream. He knew he had to apologise for his behaviour, he knew he loved his father more than anything now. He wasn't a cool kid anymore. It was only the thought of the fact that he killed his own father made him regret and rethink all his life's choices. It was then he knew he had done all wrong. It was then he abandoned the way he used to dwell before and started living like a normal kid and not like a bully. It was then he knew his father was his whole and only family.
